1   Link   Semper Fi Fund
When an OEF/OIF Marine or Sailor, or other OEF/OIF service member assigned to Marine forces is injured, their entire family shares the pain and the burden of recovery. Normal life is put on hold as loved ones travel great distances, at a moment’s notice, to be at the bedside, often for weeks or months. Recovery from major catastrophic injuries may take our service members several years to recover. The family members take leave from their jobs, often without pay, and incur additional expenses for child-care, lodging, travel, and other necessities. Few families are prepared for the expenses they face. They need help, and they need it quickly. The Injured Marine Semper Fi Fund was created to meet this need.

4   Link   USO
The USO is a private, nonprofit organization whose mission is to support the troops by providing morale, welfare and recreation-type services to our men and women in uniform. The original intent of Congress — and enduring style of USO delivery — is to represent the American people by extending a touch of home to the military. The USO currently operates more than 135 centers worldwide, including ten mobile canteens located in the continental United States and overseas. Overseas centers are located in Germany, Italy, the United Arab Emirates, Japan, Qatar, Korea, Iraq, Afghanistan, Guam and Kuwait. Service members and their families visit USO centers more than 6.9 million times each year. The USO is the way the American public supports the troops.

8   Link   Any Soldier
Any Soldier Inc. is different from every other effort in a number of important ways; it was started because of a Combat Infantry Soldier on the ground in Iraq who gave excellent suggestions on what to send, it is run by a retired Army Soldier who knows the look on a Soldier's face when they get mail, and when they don't. It is a completely volunteer effort where you have the chance to show your support, in whatever way you want, directly to Soldiers you select, and that is why this is so successful. Any Soldier Inc. will continue to grow, improve, and with your help, make the lives of our Soldiers, Marines, Airmen, and Sailors just a bit better in that they will know we care and appreciate their sacrifice.

9   Link   Always Support Our Heroes
Many veterans tell me they have never been thanked for the service they performed 30 to 35 years ago. People would spit on their uniforms when they returned from Vietnam and scoff at what they had done. That was a different time and a different era, where many of our military were drafted. They were just doing what they were ordered to do.

Whether from that generation or the men and women of today and tomorrow ~ I do what I do, to salute YOU. From the depths of my soul, I believe you are a true American Hero. That is why I have followed Gods call to honor our military, and do all that I can, so no one feels alone on the battlefield, or when they return.
