Foothills Detachment 469 Department of Colorado Marine Corps League

As an independant correspondent Michael Yon  has provided some outstanding military reporting, and photography, from both Iraq and Afganistan.  However, he has also had many problems with the command structure in Afganistan, resulting in his being disembedded by both British and US forces. This fight has escalated into personal attacks on General McChrystal and his staff, the publishing of unverified rumors and recently of an e-mail containing numerous violations of Operational Security (OPSEC).

As a result of the last mentioned act, the Foothills Detachment website has sadly cancelled the feed for Michael Yon's On-Line Magazine until Mr. Yon starts again acting like the professional he used to be.
