Other Ways to Send Cheer

If you can't get a box or card mailed off but still want to let our men and women know you're thinking of them, consider making a donation to one of the great organizations that work every day to let the troops know they're not forgotten:

Want to send your support to a soldier in harm's way, but have no idea what to send, who to send it to or how to send it? Any Soldier Inc. is different from every other effort in a number of important ways; it was started because of a Combat Infantry Soldier on the ground in Iraq who gave excellent suggestions on what to send, it is run by a retired Army Soldier who knows the look on a Soldier's face when they get mail, and when they don't. It is a completely volunteer effort where you have the chance to show your support, in whatever way you want, directly to Soldiers you select, and that is why this is so successful. Any Soldier Inc. will continue to grow, improve, and with your help, make the lives of our Soldiers, Marines, Airmen, and Sailors just a bit better in that they will know we care and appreciate their sacrifice.

As a volunteer-based nonprofit, we have over 30 different teams supporting all branches of the U.S. Armed Forces. Through special projects, dedicated teams and individuals supporting our troops, we make a visible difference in the lives of our service members and their families.

The USO is a private, nonprofit organization whose mission is to support the troops by providing morale, welfare and recreation-type services to our men and women in uniform. The original intent of Congress — and enduring style of USO delivery — is to represent the American people by extending a touch of home to the military. The USO currently operates more than 135 centers worldwide, including ten mobile canteens located in the continental United States and overseas. Overseas centers are located in Germany, Italy, the United Arab Emirates, Japan, Qatar, Korea, Iraq, Afghanistan, Guam and Kuwait.

The Adopt a Hero Program is a free service to help people adopt service personnel overseas.  We simply make the connection between the adoptee and the service personnel.

Many veterans tell me they have never been thanked for the service they performed 30 to 35 years ago. People would spit on their uniforms when they returned from Vietnam and scoff at what they had done. That was a different time and a different era, where many of our military were drafted. They were just doing what they were ordered to do.

Whether from that generation or the men and women of today and tomorrow ~ I do what I do, to salute YOU. From the depths of my soul, I believe you are a true American Hero. That is why I have followed Gods call to honor our military, and do all that I can, so no one feels alone on the battlefield, or when they return.
